Date: November 23, 2015 Mobile App Launchpad celebrates the first 80 program graduates

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Google held a ceremony at the downtown American University in Cairo campus on November 19, 2015 to celebrate the graduation of the first 80 students to complete the Mobile App Launchpad certification. Hundreds of program supporters, including representatives from Udacity, the Information Technology Institute (ITI), the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), the MIT Pan Arab Forum, and Wuzzuf.com, joined the event to celebrate and support the graduating students as they prepare for the competitions and career events in the next phases of the program.
 
Mohamad Mourad, Regional Director for Google in the Middle East and North Africa region, and Dr. Noha Adly, First Deputy to the Minister of MCIT, both spoke about the opportunities that the Mobile App Launchpad program provides to advance students’ career opportunities in mobile development. They also welcomed the next batch of 215 students who are scheduled to graduate in early 2016.
